Glass Cockpit Training in Cirrus SR22 G3 with Garmin G1000
The modern generation aircraft are increasingly moving away from the conventional “round” instruments, towards a “glass cockpit”, such as those produced by Garmin, Avidyne, and others.
JAA require “differences training” for any pilot who wishes to fly an aircraft that is significantly different from the conventional model that most of us learnt on. There is probably no other “difference” so great as that between the traditional cockpit and the glass cockpit.
The course uses a Cirrus SR22-G3, with Garmin G1000 “Perspective”, and consists of ground and flight training as follows.
Ground school

- PFD - Basic display, Interpretation, Adjustments
